This is the first (and only) time I've seen this exhibit so I really can't answer your question with any authority. But in my experience most outdoor tassy devil exhibits you can see the devils, albeit usually sleeping. I think I was in a hurry when I took this and didn't have time to look for the occupant.
But it's certainly a great exhibit for them.
@BenFoxster@Hix When I visited a couple of weeks ago, I went past this exhibit twice. The first time I did not see the devils; the second time they were very active and running around. I found they are easier to see later in the day and when the exhibit is less busy.
To add to this, this exhibit originally housed dingoes for many years. The tassie devils are a recent addition.
