It's a little startling to see how some of the terrariums inside World of Reptiles are inadequate in terms of size. This one for a Green Anaconda has a tiny pool and a small area for the snake, plus there are exhibits for Frilled Lizards, Burmese Pythons, Dwarf Crocodiles and other species that are too small. World of Reptiles does have some nice habitats overall, but it's a building that could use a modernization plan.
I found myself feeling similarly after seeing it in person. Don’t get me wrong, there are some good habitats in WoR, but the obvious flaws like this exhibit are far too egregious to overlook. It’s quite surprising a modern zoo such as The Bronx still has a Green Anaconda crammed in a small exhibit with zero natural substrate and nothing other than a tiny pool and a stump for enrichment. It’s a real shame, as this exhibit could very easily be re-purposed for a more suitable species with minimal modifications.
