Greater bamboo lemur, second enclosure CWP

  • Media owner Lafone

A second group of bamboo lemurs has been formed at CWP with some new arrivals - house and enclosure unsigned and behind the colobus monkeys / burrowing owls.
I think this enclosure has been used for these lemurs for several years, although perhaps not continuously.

@gentle lemur It’s been empty for a while. Asyou say I’ve seen lemurs in it before but I didn’t think they were a separate group. One of those off show on show things.

Are these new arrivals, or were they previously sharing with the main group? I ask this as a keeper informed me on me visit that the zoo has ten bamboo lemurs, a third of the captive population, but I couldn't see near that amount in the main enclosure next to the walkthrough.

@Kalaw Combination of the two according to the keeper talk. This group seems to have a slightly smaller number compared to the group next to the walkthrough.
