This is a very attractive exhibit and it would be a great shame to see it without primates. If vervet monkeys are definitely on the way out, it could suit a decent group of colobus with a bit more climbing infrastructure.
@PAT I agree. I really enjoyed seeing the Vervet monkeys, which were highly active and thought this was the perfect exhibit for them. Colobus would be a good replacement, though a larger troop size would be good to compensate for their lower activity levels.
@SivatheriumGuy No, they’ve been phased out unfortunately. Orana Wildlife Park in New Zealand used to have a large troop. I agree they’d be an excellent fit as Werribee are very much tied to African species.
