White Cay iguana (Cyclura rileyi cristata) - juvenile

It seemed to me that the Bahamian government had refused to allow this species to be exported outside the islands. Do you know where it comes from?

@Bastou This is a captive-bred specimen from the animal trade. I don't know how they originally came into private hands. It might have been a cooperation between facilities, it might have been something less legal. In neither of these cases, we should judge too soon, since this species has been successfully breeding for years and years.

@Sicarius I'm not passing judgement, I just think that it is sometimes preferable to set up controlled ex-situ farms rather than stubbornly trying to reconstitute a fragile population in its natural environment by banning all exports
