@Hix is that in melanops or meltoni subspecies range, do you know? The range of meltoni is given as following "the inland scarp of the Great Dividing Range" - on the map I'm looking at the dot for Cooma is basically right where "Great Dividing Range" is written, so I'm not sure where it falls.
I'd say Cooma is in the middle of the Great Dividing Range. It's elevated but there are mountains to the east and even higher mountains (Kosciusko National Park) to the west. And eBird gives an option of melanops/meltoni which suggests it's probably in or near an overlap.
