In the wild, they only go ashore to lay eggs, I doubt they would use a beach in captivity.
It is one of those species I strongly doubt keeping them in zoos.
I am not sure about elsewhere, but nearly all of the captive sea turtles in the USA are rescues, so a zoo or aquarium is a good option for those animals. Unless when you say "keeping" you mean breeding?
@SwampDonkey You're absolutely right about the fact that those animals all are rescues. But I'm not sure if none of these can be put back in the wild yet. Either way, reproducing in captivity will not happen and most aquaria do not seem suitable for this species.
