@Julio C Castro, @Westcoastperson, @WhistlingKite24 — I was only able to find one of the giant insects in their nocturnal terrarium; however, it was really cool to see just one of these special animals! That is interesting to hear that there might not be any on display in Australia! Would that then mean these are the only ones on display worldwide?

@CMP - According to the most recent press releases from the Zoo, this is the first time that they have been publicly displayed in North America. It appears The original colony received in 2012 failed to thrive, and an additional colony was imported in 2016.
