I saw all these exhibits back in July when I toured Phoenix Zoo and the complex appeared to be almost finished. Truthfully, I wasn't that impressed and something like this Leopard exhibit already seems outdated. I suppose that I expected more out of an AZA-accredited zoo. What did you think?
@snowleopard I am going to do a trip report on the three places in Phoenix that I visited, but in brief: I expected more as well, the whole are is just "OK". It is certainly not going to win any design awards and it all feels like it was just done on a rather low budget. I would expect something like this in Wildlife World or a small city zoo, but not a place like Phoenix Zoo. The best exhibit was the vultures, in spite of it being open top and not an aviary.
