Cologne Zoo - Temporary Monkey House

  • Media owner Toddy
  • Date added
Part of the temporary monkey house in Cologne Zoo, Germany. This house was built in 2009 to accommodate the South American primates while their own house is being renovated. This house is clearly about function rather than looks. The species living in there when this picture was taken were red howler monkeys, white-faced sakis, yellow-breasted capuchins, golden lion tamarins and saddleback tamarins.

As far as I have understood the plan is to use this house as a refuge for abandoned/confiscated exotic pets once the monkeys move out again.
