Peninsular Pronghorn don’t live in Africa though… why are they being put in this part of the park for their Africa tram when they don’t even live in California
@John Marchwick — It’s a good exhibit for the pronghorn, and it gets an endangered and formerly native California species on display for the public and out of holding. The narration along the tram already discusses the native California ecosystems, and the pronghorn have been worked into this. The pronghorn are also used to discuss convergent evolution with the African antelope in the South Africa exhibit opposite them, and their close relation to giraffe and okapi is discussed as well. The Park is looking to move away from it being referred to as the Africa Tram, anyways.
