Great photo of the family! I've been told by keepers in the U.S. that young Magpie Geese have a scent somewhat like peanuts, but I don't know if that's true!
@DaLilFishie It may not be true or I may be remembering it incorrectly. The OKC Zoo raised two broods of Magpie Geese some time around 2010, and one of the keepers told me that the chicks had a very distinctive smell similar to peanuts. But from the perspective of predator avoidance, that seems like a strange and unlikely characteristic to have evolved and it's puzzled me ever since.
