Ocellated Skink (Chalcides ocellatus)

Several Ocellated Skinks are displayed in an exhibit within the men's restroom in the Expedition Africa building; Apparently, there is an exhibit housing a Madagascar Hognose Snake (probably Leioheterodon madagascariensis) in the women's restroom, but of course I haven't seen that to confirm it.
I get why people don't like this idea, but honestly I find it oddly charming. :p Maybe an alternative could be to house the same species in both the men's and women's restrooms. As long as we don't get to a point where zoos are hiding especially rare or unusual species next to toilets, I don't foresee this being an actual issue.

I love and agree with all of these comments! The better solution would be to house Ocellated Skinks or Madagascar Hognose Snakes in both restroom at the same time. They could even rotate both species between years. I don't like that fact that I can't see that Madagascar Hognose Snake because of my gender and I'm sure that there are people of both genders who would prefer to see any other animal besides a large snake in their restroom! The tank for the Ocellated Skink is a long tank (about 8-feet) that's placed behind a row of sinks so you see them as you wash your hands. This would be a great tool to get people to wash their hands - if the right animals were employed!
