I expected a lot more from this, but it still looks reasonably sized and they have a fair amount of grazing space too. Whilst it doesn't rival Werribee's aesthetic wise, I think it certainly does space wise.
 
@Jambo Easily. It’ll be interesting to see how they manage breeding as it appears there’s no capacity to seperate the bull bar the use of off-display holding yards. Presumably the mother and calf would rotate display with the bull/other cow until the calf is of an age integration can be achieved.
 
@Jambo With the larger exhibit size, I’m hopeful it will assist with integration. It stands to reason that a smaller exhibit would see the hippos run into more frequent conflict with each other, which in turn increases risk of injury to the calves.
