@Great Argus I'm no expert of Western Larus, but I was under the impression in much of Alaska "Glaucous-winged" type gulls were generally considered unidentifiable?
@birdsandbats As juveniles that can certainly be the case, but adults are more straightforward. The bird in the photo here does not show any indicators of a hybrid bird. Hybrids are certaintly regular and have to be watched for.
