All these bird of prey aviaries look similar, in that they are barren enclosures, have dirt floors, and seem to lack height. Are most of the birds not flighted?
@snowleopard The native species are rescued and the exotic species are decommissioned animals. Despite this, I do not like these aviaries, especially for such nervous animals like goshawks.
@snowleopard The majority of native birds do not fly, but there are confiscated specimens that are capable of flying and these enclosures are not valid for them. These facilities were what I liked least about the park.
@JigerofLemuria I will not be defending these aviaries and some of the crappier exhibits in the park (the new terrariums seem pretty lacking and I always thought the bear exhibit is on the smallish side), but I'll go as far as to say that the rest of enclosures at the park are pretty good for what I remember. They mostly work with decommissioned animals and I think they do a pretty good job at exhibiting them, I know middle-of-the-road doesn't really mean "bad" perse but just wanted to throw my opinion out there.
