Excellent photo - fish are tough! These look more like some sort of Centrarchid - perhaps juvenile White Crappie (Pomoxis annularis) or Bluegill (Lepomis macrochirus)?
 
@Summer Tanager You're very likely correct, signage for the species held at this little aquarium was lacking and it was instead just educational signs for native Georgia waterlife. Killifish were signed next to this exhibit, and I'm no expert with fish nor really cared to do research so I just went with the sign.
 
@SusScrofa That make a lot of sense - I would have probably done the same thing! I know some of the native N.A. fish and the really common freshwater tropical fish, but I'm completely lost when it comes to saltwater fish and it's overwhelming to try to learn them all! This might be a tank that they rotate juvenile fish through, so the occupants might change every few months. Thanks for the background information and for posting your photos.
