Northern Cassowary (Casuarius unappendiculatus)

Mandai received 3 additional Northern Cassowaries recently, in addition to the pair (with golden necks) at Bird Paradise's Lory Loft aviary. One of the 3 new cassowaries can be viewed at the Zoo's Australasia exhibit, but I think they will be moved to Rainforest Wild Asia in time to come.

Looks like the rufotinctus subspecies. Can't wait to see it once I'm back home

@Casuarius_casuarius in that case the ones at Bird Paradise are the normal subspecies?

@Nadchew_ BP's northern cassowaries which came from Avilon Zoo are the aurantiacus subspecies. DAK where these individuals came from?
