Sorry I'm late to the game by seven years, but I don't see any opinions regarding this tanager. Based on the shape of the bill (the protruding "tooth" on the bill) I think it's a member of the genus Piranga, which is now in the Cardinal Family (Cardinalidae). Based on the amount and size of the white spots on the wing, the red coloration coming in on the throat, the dark plumage around the eye, and the buffy-brown plumage on the back, I believe that this is a juvenile male Flame-colored Tanager (Piranga bidentata) that's molting into adult plumage. It also has the silvery-gray lower mandible of a Flame-colored Tanager and the white spots on the distal end of the outer tail feathers. This species occurs from Mexico through Panama, so there are several countries from which it might have been exported. I hope this helps.
