I think these are Persian onagers

You wouldn't call yourself 'Kiang' here without knowing how they look like so I trust you!

I'm using my old copies of IZN as a reference as they always had onager births reported in the annual reports section and no mention ever of kiangs.
Cologne were always great contributers to the annual report section for many years.
