Thank you for the info! I haven't been to Zoo Miami since 1990 (when it was called the Miami Metro Zoo) and the populations of Green Iguanas and other exotic lizards weren't nearly as large back then as they apparently are now!. I don't have much use for the large male iguanas, but I think that the females are beautiful. As long as the populations continue to be confined to urban/suburban habitats, I don't have a problem with them.
@Summer Tanager Miami has captive Green Iguanas in Amazon & Beyond however, just in case you were wondering. The ones out in the yards are of course wild
