I'm afraid that this does nothing to improve my opinion of indoor penguin exhibits.

Does anyone know what exhibit this has replaced?

Amen to that!

I've just had a quick look at the map on the website. Hardly the most accurate of things, but it does show 2 separate pools on two different levels - is this actually the case?

Nope its the same pool viewed from two different levels!
