Collared Falconet (Microhierax caerulescens) at Paradise Park - 22 March 2024

Since being moved into the tropical house at Paradise Park (having previously been kept in the outdoor row of turaco aviaries) the three falconets held by Paradise Park have become significantly more showy and less nervous than was previously the case, verging on confiding!

This photograph is one of several I was able to take on a recent visit to Paradise Park as a direct result of this change in behaviour.

Fantastic to hear they have become more confident as I'm visiting the collection for the first time very soon.
Am I correct in thinking many have since passed away after the customs confiscations as you only mentioned three individuals?
