That's interesting! I've never seen that before and I'm not exactly sure what I think of it. If it doesn't stress the otters, then I think it's a good way for visitors to have a chance to experience how an otter's feet feel. But a big piece of me doesn't trust the average zoo-goer so I don't know if this is a good idea for the otters. But it's an interesting concept.
@Summer Tanager For now keepers are stationed near the enclosures to prevent any visitors from offering "extra snacks", my only issue here is that it indirectly encourages impulse buying small-clawed otters, which the trade is still unregulated in Indonesia
