Zoo Heidelberg- South American aviary- 2023

I am really fond of the way the underwater view is integrated into the scenery. Overall the aviary invites to linger with it's beautiful landscaping, availability of seating and especially the interesting and diverse species being kept.

The species being kept in this aviary are:
Callonetta leucophrys Ringed Teal
Oxyura vittata Argentine ruddy duck
Saguinus imperator Emperor tamarin
Guira Guira Guira Cuckoo
Tolypeutes matacus Southern three-banded armadillo
Eurypyga helias Sun Bittern
Choloepus didactylus Linne's two-toed sloth
Amazona viridigenalis Green-cheeked amazon

Last year it also housed a group of grey-breasted parakeets are those no longer there?

@lintworm I saw a grey-breasted parakeet in this aviary this month

Emperor tamarin, ringed teal, guira cuckoo and armadillo were no longer kept here (or at least they weren't signed and I didn't see them)
The turtles, sloths, ruddy ducks, amazons and sunbitterns were still there.
Additionally, paddlefishes were added to the pond, and black-necked stilt, socorro dove and turqouise tanagers were added as well (the single black-necked stilt was unsigned).
