Not a great picture, but one worth showing. The Lysmata species in the aquarium trade are very often incorrectly identified. Those from the eastern Atlantic are not L. wurdemanni but instead a whole species complex. The same counts for those coming from the Pacific, often labelled Lysmata vittata.
Not a great picture, but one worth showing. The Lysmata species in the aquarium trade are very often incorrectly identified. Those from the eastern Atlantic are not L. wurdemanni but instead a whole species complex. The same counts for those coming from the Pacific, often labelled Lysmata vittata. Here in this picture you see one of those, imported from the Philippines. Rauli is recently split from vittata and looks clearly different.
