It's great to see that the zoo is finally doing something with this bordered up area. The building was built during the 1930s, and this section has been closed for probably at least 5 years now.
Agreed. I'm glad to see the zoo making some progress, even in the form of small renovations and additions like this. I liked my visit there in 2021 but there were several empty and/or outdated exhibits, so anything they can do to fill those gaps and spruce up the place will only make the zoo more of a gem IMO.
On another note, it looks like we're about to be one step closer to not having any major or mid-sized zoo lacking for Komodos what with Saint Louis adding them here soon as well.
