Australia - new play area

I’d imagine the expansion is great for kids, but I can’t help but feel disappointed with it.

the two aviaries in the back, which used to house Bats and Singing Dogs, have gone completely unused and are just sitting there.

surely there’s something that can be done with them. Maybe combine them both into a Cassowary exhibit? Bring back Bats? Maybe even introduce Tasmanian Devils or some other new Australian animal?

IDK, what do you think?

@Elephants and Alligators I agree, it is a travesty that they lost animals in the remodel, animals that it seems could have been kept without impacting the remodel. The truth is that the Australia area has been loosing animals steadily since it opened. Emu and/or cassowary would be fantastic and would not require much in the way of construction. Simply keeping the bats and tortoises in that enclosure would have been nice. I really wish that we had some insider knowledge on why that decision was made.
