Right......I'm told travelling around in the wet season can sometimes be difficult too. We tend to hit quite a few different areas in one trip (lots of boats on the last one!!).

I've seen both sloths relatively frequently on all trips, plus 9-banded Armadillo (twice - both times during the day), Northern Tamandua, plus Tapirs, Peccary, the ubiquitous Agouti. I'd love to see a Silky Anteater...a couple of close calls but not managed it yet. Olingo would be amazing!
I've got the same owls from CR, plus Crested and Ferruginous Pygmy.
Ah....so many animals....so little time. But I'm definitely interested in casting the net a bit wider from a Central American perspective for sure.

I saw peccaries as well! And I did see a tamandua from the Aerial Tram! Agouti, obviously, and all 4 monkey species. Some bats. I think that's it when it comes to terrestial mammals. I also saw humpback whales and pantropical spotted dolphins.

The bellbirds, I did hear them. But no visual sightings.

True! I love mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and everything else, so it's impossible to see everything! This will my third time in Central America, it might be my last as I want to start exploring South America in the future.

Ah yes...I forgot the monkeys and bats too! I saw some Bottlenose Dolphins on last trip, but sadly wrong time of year for whales. Someone at one of the lodges we stayed managed to find a Whale Shark while snorkeling near Golfito. I was somewhat envious, to say the least....

Don't get me started on all the other places there are to go to.... then we also need to make time for zoos!

I saw and swam with whale sharks in Mexico (from Cancun)! And I swam with manta rays in Indonesia (Nusa Penida, near Bali)!

Yes, true. I already had my annual zoo trip (southern Germany, Austria), november will be my non-zoo trip to Nicaragua.

That's it. I can't get more time off work. So much to see, so little time...
