Definitely worth the effort. The good thing about Cologne is that it's an excellent base to check out a few other zoos around the area like Wuppertal and Krefeld. Would like to do a trip next year to see Walsrode, Frankfurt, Basel and Zurich. I haven't been to Berlin for some years now but that will have to wait I'm afraid.
