'The Letter B'

To be or not to be... Twenty-one different species of bird; but only twenty to name; so bee [ahem] it. Many; male paired with female.
Nicely done! I see European Blackbird, Barn Owl, Blackcap, Blue-crowned Hanging Parrot, Carmine Bee-eater, Boneparte's Gull or Black-headed Gull, Long-tailed Broadbill, Bali Myna, Beryl-spangled Tanager, Eurasian Bullfinch, European Buzzard, Bar-headed Goose, Black-necked Swan, Eurasian Black Vulture, possibly a Bald Eagle, some species of raptors that I don't know, Blue Tit, and some species of Old World bunting. And maybe a bustard?

@Summer Tanager Twelve of 21 correct! The swan is a black swan, and the gull a black-headed gull.
The white and green passerines of either branch are of the same species; which is a South American.
There is another species of Bee-eater.
Two of the remaining owls are both North Americans. The third is of Asia.
The two eagles in the picture; one perching, are of different genera; but both inhabit much of the old world.
The remaining bird is seen in colder months in the United Kingdom and doesn't breed there. A mating-pair of this species here is not perched.

This was a lot of fun and obviously harder than I expected! Now that I look at the swan head more closely, I can see that it's clearly a Black Swan and not a Black-necked Swan. Birds are my primary interest in zoos, but raptors are my least favorite group of birds and I don't know them very well. It looks like my Bali Mynah and tanager are a pair of Bare-throated Bellbirds and my Long-tailed Broadbill is a European Bee-eater.

I'll try again:
European Blackbird (male and female)
Eurasian Blackcap (male and female)
Black-headed Bunting (male and female flying)
Blue-crowned Hanging Parrot (male and female)
Bare-throated Bellbird (male and female)
Eurasian Bullfinch (male and female)
Blue Tit
Barn Owl
Barred Owl
Burrowing Owl
Barking Owl
Carmine Bee-eater
European Bee-eater
Black-headed Gull
Bar-headed Goose
Black Swan
Bald Eagle
Common Buzzard
Black Kite
Booted Eagle
Eurasian Black Vulture (aka Cinereous Vulture)

Better this time?

@Summer Tanager 18 of 21 correct!
The following birds are not in this picture:
Black-headed bunting
Barking Owl
Black Kite

The large flying owl is an Asiatic species. It feeds on fish.
The finch, of whom male and female can be seen flying, is resident in Scandinavia. Perhaps Rubus fruticosus is a clue?
There is a booted eagle and it is perched. The eagle which can be seen flying is a native of warmer regions; such as the Mediterranean. It is a honorific; it was named for an Italian ornithologist.

Brambling! Bonelli's Eagle! and Brown Fish-Owl!
Thank you - your clues were excellent!

Your hints of "Rubus" and "finch" led me quickly to Brambling for the pair of flying songbirds. I was so fixated on buntings that I forgot about the tremendous diversity of true finches that you have in Europe!

You hints about the fish-eat, Asian owl meant that this must be a Brown Fish-Owl!

And your hint about an honorific, Mediterranean eagle took me to Bonelli's Eagle!

I appreciate the hints and I appreciate everyone else for showing restraint and not jumping in to solve the mystery while I was at work today!

Final list:
European Blackbird (male and female)
Eurasian Blackcap (male and female)
Brambling (male and female flying)
Blue-crowned Hanging Parrot (male and female)
Bare-throated Bellbird (male and female)
Eurasian Bullfinch (male and female)
Blue Tit
Barn Owl
Barred Owl
Burrowing Owl
Brown Fish-Owl
Carmine Bee-eater
European Bee-eater
Black-headed Gull
Bar-headed Goose
Black Swan
Bald Eagle
Common Buzzard
Bonelli's Eagle
Booted Eagle
Eurasian Black Vulture (aka Cinereous Vulture)
