@LeMandaiEnthusiast‧ Singapore had these few years ago I guess? I saw them free-ranging near the Treetops trail boardwalk together with the cotton-top tamarins. Have they passed on or were they phased out too? (emphasis on too because that's what Mandai has been up to lately)
We had this species before? I actually don't recall. I'm pretty sure as hell we currently don't have them but for all you now there might be something when Rainforest Wild is done
@LeMandaiEnthusiast‧ YESSS. I think you still do? Anyways, they were free-ranging along with a handful of other primates near the Treetops Trail in the entrance courtyard. They would come close to visitors during the Treetops Trail Keeper chit-chat.
@Chapman'szebra Managed to do some digging on this and I found out. Yeah we apparently used to have this species at some point (in like 2000, I wasn't even alive then lmao)
Currently there's no free-ranging primates by the Treetops Trail and currently I don't think we have any of this species. I'll check with the keepers again eventually however
@LeMandaiEnthusiast‧ In 2000? That's surprising. I visited Singapore Zoo in 2015 and I found an individual right by the entrance of the boardwalk. If you scroll through the gallery you'll find some pictures taken wayyy after 2005.
@Chapman'szebra Guess they were around a lot later than I remembered. Thanks for the history lesson though, hopefully we'll have a chance to see em again
