A new rarity of Shanghai Zoo and one of the very few in captivity. The bird actually came to the zoo in 2022 as a vagrant but was put on exhibit only recently. It was found on a survey vessel in Shanghai on October 9, 2022. Identified as a first-year fledgling, it probably followed multiple ships before ending up in the buzzing metropolitan, 1500 miles away from its hometown. This is also the first-ever record of the species in Shanghai.
