Barred Eagle Owl (Ketupa sumatrana)

@LeMandaiEnthusiast‧
Just a disclaimer, I’m not 100% sure it’s part of the talk as I wasn’t around when it started. However, the location and time suggested that it was, as the keepers left the area by 8.30pm

I was also pleasantly surprised that they rotate (more) animals now. I thought it’s only the armadillos and has been skipping the talk for few times now.

@honeybadger

As far as I'm aware, there's 2 talks. The main at 7.45pm and another at 8.45pm(?) I believe, the latter happens every day as far as I'm aware and brings out animals from Slow Lorises, Owls and Snakes. This might've been what you saw, or maybe they were just early

@honeybadger

I just checked the Mandai website.

8:00pm (Sun – Thu) is for animals like Ball Pythons and Owls, 7:45pm & 8:45pm (Fri & Sat) for the Armadillo, Pangolin, Tamandua, Slow Loris and the rest I believe

There's days where Sunday gets the 7:45pm talk tho
