Raggiana Bird-of-Paradise (Paradisaea raggiana)

Male Raggiana Bird-of-Paradise at Winged Sanctuary (24 May 2024), housed together with a pair of Kagus. The first time I saw it perching nearer to the front of the cage and stayed there for a while. (Edited to account for Zooish’s correction - see below)

This is a male, albeit lacking the plume feathers. Females are much duller overall. Mandai has only 1 female Raggiana BoP and she is off show with another male.

@Zooish Thanks for the correction! My bad. I had initially labeled it as a male but switched it up since I couldn’t see its plume feathers.
