Nice aviary. Do you recall the species that were living there? From your photos, I believe that I can see the Masked Lapwings, Ringed Teal, White-faced Whistling Duck, Mandarin Duck, Marbled Teal, Puna Teal, and maybe Gray Peacock-Pheasant.
The only pheasant species is the Golden. Other species I can think of are Carolina Duck, Chiloe Wigeon, Rosy-billed Pochard, Tufted Duck, Brazilian Teal, Cuban Whistling Duck, Ferruginous Duck, Australasian Shoveler, Versicolor rather than Puna Teal, Falcated Teal and Black-bellied Whistling Duck.
Thank you for the species list! This is a more diverse waterfowl collection that I realized! Sorry about my misidentification of the Golden Pheasant - must have been a female. On the Versicolor Teal - I knew I had a 50:50 chance and decided to go with Puna - wrong answer apparently! Thank you again!
My pleasure. There are quite a few female Golden Pheasants in the aviary plus several adolescent males. The teal are officially Versicolor and look to be the correct size!
