The indoor exhibit for lowland gorillas in the Great Ape house in Hannover Zoo. Way too small and boring. Could easily be expanded though, by filling the moat. The chimpanzees have an indoor exhibit like this one.

What you see is almost what you get. They have a tiny bit more to the right, and presumably some smaller cages backstage. But this exhibit is way too small, even though it could easily be expanded in this house.
They would not have more space available in the Zambesi area. Also, the gorillas woulden't exactly fit in theme there. Zambesi is all about the African savannah and desert.
It's Sambesi With "S"
Behind Sambesi is much space, but the gorillas recived at the end of the 1990 a new outdoors.
Also the indoor-exhibit is bigger than it seems.
My personal plan for Hannover, would be to build a Congo-theme where the Australia exhibit and nyalas/kudus /roan antelopes live today. Here there would be enough space for new enclosures for chimpanzees and gorillas.
