Ueno Zoo has 2 male Galapagos Tortoises:

Tarou (太郎)
Born in 1929 / transferred to Ueno in 1969

Kamekichi (カメ吉)
Born in 1940 / transferred to Ueno in 1960

The indivicual in the photo is Tarou, and he is usually the only one on display.

Here are some facts about old animals in Japanese zoos:
Obihiro Zoo currently keeps the oldest individual bird in Japan, an Andean condor. That title formerly belonged to Green 20, Tama Zoo's oldest flamingo.
Nogeyama Zoo used to keep the oldest camel in captivity and Higashiyama used to keep the oldest female bongo.
And of course, Wain the wombat of Satsukiyama Zoo is currently the oldest wombat in captivity.
