With the ambitious plans Hagenbeck has, their neighbour in Hannover cannot do less! So, I know Polar Bears will return to Hannover now (their old animals or from somewhere else?) and the Penguins and Northern Fur Seals (the only ones in Europe? Seen them at Brookfield Zoo in 2002; went to Hannover in 2004 but only recall Californian Sea Lions and the single Walrus, which is dead now) but is there a chance that Hannover will be getting walruses again?
Polarbear *Sprinter* is there since a few weeks. All the old bears died long ago.
By now, the northern furseals are the only ones in europe in hannover. They came last winter as import from russia.
Walrusses won't be in the Yukon bay part of the zoo.
I'm not sure, but I belive, there is a dolphinarium in the european part of russia ( or one of the new states, which once were part of russia )with northern fur seals.
