Taken on 23rd August 2024 in Winged Sanctuary. Thanks to @Dr. Wolverine I've been trying to observe these birds a bit more, and I managed to strike gold with them.

The Kagu pair were pulling what I believe is a courtship display off a couple of times when I checked in on them, though I did leave them alone after a while since I was worried I was disturbing them.

Any idea where they came from?...another collection or from the wild?

@Goura I heard they came from a Zoo in Japan, which we apparently traded 2 of our Asiatic Lions for

Forgot where I got my source though so take it with a bag of salt and MSG

The Zoo which you are referring to is Nogeyama Zoological Gardens in Kanagawa, Japan. It is the only facility in Japan that houses Kagus. Didn't realize Mandai traded with Nogeyama before!
