All large spaces, from the photos it looks like a big place indeed, though this one looks like it was designed for something other than ponies. The mock rock seems to be a bit of a feature? I hope there's a ramp out of the pool if something falls in.
Are the animals generally impacted by the temperatures or do they just hold more species that are generally acclimatised?
@Lafone Many Southeast Asian zoos have substantial Asian, African and South American collections, with the tropical heat suiting species from those three continents. There's also macropods from Australia everywhere, but definitely a lack of cold-weather animals from North America and elsewhere. For example, in visiting 59 zoos, I never once saw any Polar Bears or Wolverines, came across Snow Leopards maybe only once or twice, and seeing North American Bison a couple of times was a shock. We saw Brown Bears on perhaps 3 occasions, but local Sun Bears are as common as rats. Surabaya Zoo and Ragunan Zoo combined had maybe 15 to 20 exhibits just of Sun Bears!
