@Summer Tanager Both @twilighter and I are not huge fans of ticking off all the birds we can see in a specific aviary, so we didn't track how many species we saw. The 'Bird Aviary' is enormous and is easily one of the great zoo aviaries of the world. By the time we ventured into this structure, the heat was almost unbearable in the early afternoon, and so we were sweating in the upper echelon of the aviary. We still walked all through it and there's a cooler spot at the top with some gorgeous views.
Thanks and that's very understandable. The oppressive heat would even deter the ardent bird lovers like me. Of course, with my bird bias, I would have gone to the aviary first and sacrificed seeing something else! I appreciate all of the photos that you've posted this month from the Asian zoos! It sounds like you had quite a trip!
