Deinonychus - August 2024

One of the models at the new "Dino Camp" exhibit, and arguably the most inaccurate, with a painful lack of feathering and those pesky pronated hands, quite obviously based on the Velociraptors from Jurassic Park (for which Deinonychus was actually the basis, rather than Velociraptor).
While the signage identifies it as Deinonychus, the website actually calls it Velociraptor. I'm sure they haven't seen photos of its fossils or reconstructions showing what the real Velociraptor looked like. I've already noted a similar inconsistency with the Pteranodon.
