Goiânia zoo - siamangs in their islands

This is the only zoo in Brazil that holds any kind of gibbons. The simangs live in an island, having hamadryas baboons and spider monkeys as neighbors
before being the only brazilian zoo with gibbons, the sao paulo zoo had lar gibbons since its foundation day until the 2010s, before the last female that lived with the orangutans die.

@BetoYoung
There were other zoos in the country that kept gibbons in different moments. Sorocaba, Rio, and the no longer existant Bwana park, Biopark Jaó, Parque da Aclimação and Vila Isabel zoo were some of the places that held at least one species.

@David Matos Mendes really, i had no idea the bioparque do rio already had gibbons, which gibbon species did it kept? siamang or lar gibbon? do you have any proof about what you're saying? where did the zoos you mentioned had gibbons(siamang or lar gibbon).

@BetoYoung
Your view is so dualist/manichaean... A gibbon can be only either lar or siamang? A giraffe with spots that resemble south african is necessarily south african? Why does it seem so unlikely to you that more BR zoos besides São Paulo and Goiânia kept gibbons in the past? I suggest you to widen your views and considerations about the zoo world and the natural world as a whole.
By the way, the sources you seek can be found online or by talking to zoo professionals around the country. I don't actually feel the necessity to prove anything I say to you on that regard.

@David Matos Mendes oh man, you don't need to be so rude, i'm just curious lol, i only said the lar gibbon and siamang, because those gibbons are the most commonly kept in american and european zoos according to the zootierliste, and they're the most popular and well-known gibbon species,it does seem unlikely because i never seen photos of other zoos keeping gibbons besides sao paulo and goiania.and by the way my views about zoo world and natural world are very diverse and sometimes realist,you know planet zoo? this game helped me wide my visions about zoos and animal world,and i know many youtubers who play this game and often visit zoos and they are kinda "experts" when it comes to know what species is the most commonly kept in captivity. Just for the record, i have my opinions about giraffes,i'm not an expert of course because when i see a giraffe with spots that i know i immediately think that's the x species, i'm not actually expert to know if a zoo giraffe is a zoomix or a pure bred,and i will try to find the sources about those zoos having gibbons,and i know you don't need to prove me anything, i just asked for curiosity, i'm not actually forcing you to do it.But anyways, i'm sorry if my commentaries sound bad for you. hope you can understand me.

@David Matos Mendes oh guess what? i just discovered here in the zoochat in the "gibbons in latin american zoos" thread, that my local zoo had lar gibbons,this is amazing,gibbons have been my favorite primates,since i was a kid, but it only kept one single animal and it came from the sao paulo zoo. Also how could i forget that i've actually seen the videos about the sorocaba zoo that actually kept gibbons,i'm sometimes really forgetful lol.

@BetoYoung
I probably misinterpreted your comment then. I apologize for such, my intention was not to be rude, specially knowing you didn't actually mean what I thought. And in therms of being forgetful, I have to admit I also tend to be. I completely forgot about this thread, and I think I even participated of it when Enzo wrote the initial messages. It's nice that you brought it back!
