Cape petrels, with a white-chinned petrel

Open sea, south of Cape Point, 15th September 2024.
Daption capense, with Procellaria aequinoctialis.
The black and white Cape petrel is also called the pintado petrel. The larger white-chinned petrel does not always have a white chin - this one did not.
Our pelagic trip was excellent for birdwatching (including 4 species of albatross), but disappointing for photography as the sea was quite chppy and the boat was small and I had to protect my new camera kit. I only managed a few photos in a calmer spell.
