This looks more like a dusky pademelon the more I look into it, this is in the same enclosure as the tree-kangaroo. There is a couple of unsigned dorcopsis in an exhibit in this area just after you went through the small mammal exhibits with the moongose, located at the back. Have you seen that one?
@Rizz Carlton When I was with @twilighter at Bogor, we saw 4 macropod species (Grizzled Tree Kangaroo, Dusky Pademelon, Dorcopsis, Eastern Grey Kangaroo) but looking at my photo it's honestly tricky to know what mammal we are looking at. I originally titled the photo 'Dusky Pademelon' but then changed it to 'Dorcopsis' because someone privately messaged me about the image.
What do people think it is? Due to the animal turning its head, it makes it difficult to identify because sometimes the snout is a clue to deciphering the species.
Dorcopsis should be darker in color and have longer snout compared to dusky pademelons. Also, if this was taken in the same exhibit as the tree-kangaroo, this should be the dusky pademelon.
@Rizz Carlton looks like I made a mistake correcting @snowleopard. I haven't seen any Pademelons in this exhibit, but saw 5 Dorcopsis at the exhibit nearby and this misled me. Apologize for the mistake.
It's all good. I have edited the photo to say "Dusky Pademelon" as I originally titled it. I know that @twilighter rarely ever makes a mistake as he's an expert with mammal species, so this is a moment to cherish. Haha!
