Might I ask; do you know why quite a few baboons in the group are suffering from baldness? They were like that on my visit too.
Sorry i dont know why some of the Baboons suffer from baldness but maybee these are elderly Individuals? But the most important Thing is all Baboons seemed healthy on my Visit.

Stress, genetics, and overgrooming in the group can lead to hair loss, especially in more social animals like baboons. In some cases, age can be a factor, but it’s not necessarily limited to elderly individuals. As long as they’re active, eating well, and behaving normally, it’s usually not a major health concern. @Kibathewolf The zoo had a sign explainng the condition of the animals. The also mentioned what you said and furthermore explained that they only have older animals, which is why the social structure is no longer intact and the animals feel a certain kind of stress as a result.
