Branderhorst’s Snapping Turtle Exhibit

August 22, 2024
I'm sure I've seen this species at least once before, but nevertheless it seems to be a rare turtle to come across in captivity. It's neat for this Reptile Park to have Branderhorst's, Common and Alligator snapping turtles all in a row in separate exhibits.

@snowleopard Gembira Loka and Royal Safari Garden in Cisarua also have them on-display. This and the often mixed elseya novaeguinae are quite common in the local trade.

This exhibit now have an chelodina parkeri since last month, currently the only facility to maintain one Indonesia.
