Asian Garden - empty exhibit (former reticulated giraffe)

Nor should it be replaced, as this looks pretty abominable. Is this all the space the giraffe had?

@pachyderm pro apparently it also had access to a grass yard next door but for whatever reason this particular animal never left the hard pad.

I think that the zoo had only two giraffes back when I visited in 2012, with this tiny grassy yard that connected to the hard brick pad.

@DavidBrown That's a good question and I don't perfectly remember to be honest. I think that instead of a moat there was some fencing stopping visitors from approaching the zoo's two giraffes.

@DavidBrown , no there is no moat - just that low wall and electric fence on the animal side and a fence on the visitor side. But it is still un-occupied.
