@zoo_sipsik thanks. Grand Teton is around the boundary of castanurus and cinerascens. I can't find any distribution maps which are that detailed, but I think it would be castanurus.

If your merganser and goldeneye photos were also taken at Grand Teton or at Yellowstone, then they would be Barrow's Goldeneye and Common Merganser because those are the members of their genera that nest there.
